Our Academic Team
Our academic team and our subject specialist tutors are qualified and experienced teachers in the Cambridge International system and are passionate to support your child to acquire the internationally recognised Cambridge qualifications.
In addition to our teaching experience, we bring our diverse local and international life experience. We think you will enjoy meeting our staff, who have worked as examiners in the British educational system, as local and international heads of school and as researchers, amongst other professions. We have on our staff a wildlife management specialist, a designer of optical trapping systems, a researcher in laser beam shaping and a control systems engineer. One of our staff members was a volunteer on a youth expedition in Chile and another was a tour operator in Malawi.

- Environmental Science
Luke is an educator with many years' experience teaching in schools in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe, including teaching Cambridge up to A-Levels and IEB and CAPS up to Grade 12.
Luke has held school leadership positions including that of Headmaster, Deputy Headmaster and Head of Science.
His industry experience includes roles in conservation, environmental and wildlife services.

- Business Studies
Carina is a passionate educator who has achieved numerous successes teaching Economics, Business Studies and Accounting in the Cambridge system, including two students who were awarded the highest marks in South Africa.
She enjoys encouraging students to read newspapers and financial magazines and to immerse themselves in current Economics and Business matters.
Carina's extensive experience includes that of teacher, lecturer, researcher and Head of Department.
PhD, MSc, BSc (Hons), PGCE
Dr B is a passionate Physical Science and Mathematics educator. His educational experience includes teaching up to A-Levels in the Cambridge system as well as teaching in the IEB system, designing academic programs and management plans, developing strategic plans to ensure academic excellence of students and their realisation of the current global competencies, as well as Head of Department. He was Academic Head (Science and Maths).
His professional experience includes research, development and innovation, design and construction of optical trapping systems, Laser Beam shaping using spatial light modulator, design and implementation of reconfigurable holographic optical tweezers, and simulations, modelling and data analysis using Matlab, Mathematica.
B Sc, LLB
Susan has 20 years experience teaching Maths. Her students score consistently high marks, with many getting over 90% and the majority getting distinctions. Two of her students have achieved the highest marks in the world and quite a few have achieved the top marks in South Africa.
Susan swims in the ocean every day. She grows vegetables and has chickens. She is an amateur artist and has a son who she is putting through University.

Tracey is a passionate educator with experience teaching in South Africa and the United Kingdom. She draws on her experience as an Organisation Development Consultant to inform her practice to prepare students for the world beyond school.
She has two teenage boys who are loving the Cambridge academic journey!

Daniel is passionate about well-rounded, holistic education. Through teaching History and English he is able to develop critical thinking and research skills in children – skills which are becoming increasingly important in the 21st century. He is also able to expose learners to current affairs, thus increasing their global awareness while equipping them with the skills to form their own informed opinions.
He prides himself in taking great interest in the well-being and personal development of his learners to help them to reach their full potential.
Daniel enjoys the outdoors and open-water diving.

- Life Sciences
Alvira has been involved in Biology and Life Sciences Education since 2017. She has recently taken up lecturing and continues to further her education in the field of Life Sciences Education.
She is happiest with her family and loves exploring new places with them. She is fascinated by astronomy and loves taking pictures of the moon through her telescope.

Richard is a highly qualified educator with 40 year's experience in various fields of education in the CAPS and Cambridge sytem.
He has held various leadership roles including Managing Director, Director and Chief Education Specialist, Department of Education and Training and Cultural Officer, Department of National Education.
He is an accredited mediator with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors RICS (London) and has worked in different roles as mediator.
He enjoys classical music and reads widely. Richard dotes on his 6 grandchildren. He is at his happiest exploring the bushveld.
BA, Teacher's Diploma
Dawn has 30 years' teaching experience. She co-authored Dawsan’s Maths Dictionary & related workbooks and Keys Grade 7. She also authored Thoroughly Maths Grade 6. She set two grade 7 Maths Olympiad papers per year for Conquesta Olympiads or the past three years, and ran the Dawsan’s Inter Schools Maths Challenge for five years. She has a particular interest in the teaching of highly able children and taught Extension classes at schools in Durban.
Dawn enjoys walking her Australian Cattle dog, her Yorkshire Terrier and her Scottish Terrier. Her other interests include reading, cryptic crossword puzzles and walking.
